Position Overview:

TRC Advanced Energy is a recognized leader in energy efficiency consulting. We partner with clients to craft and execute programs that drive energy efficiency, renewable energy adoption, and sustainable building practices across multiple sectors in the United States and globally. Our initiatives not only lower energy expenses but also enhance building safety and environmental health by mitigating greenhouse gas emissions.

We are currently seeking a Financial Analyst II. In this capacity, the selected candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing financial reports and workbooks using Deltek and Power BI to monitor and assess program financial performance. The role involves conducting financial comparisons through profit and loss analysis and preparing comprehensive reports with findings and recommendations for program management. Additionally, the analyst may provide insights into business development and track performance metrics by region or group. Proficiency in financial concepts such as return rates, budgeting, and income statement analysis is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and report on program financial performance metrics, including Sales, NSR, and EBITDA.
  • Manage budgeting and cost control processes.
  • Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies.
  • Submit accruals and journal entries accurately.
  • Update Estimate At Completion (EAC) reports.
  • Prepare and present the annual Fiscal Year Plan for selected projects.
  • Generate labor and cost reports for analysis.
  • Track Accounts Receivable and manage financial outlooks.
  • Evaluate risks and opportunities impacting financial forecasts.
  • Provide financial analyses for ad-hoc budgeting and pricing scenarios.
  • Handle invoicing and other client-facing deliverables.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 7 years of professional experience; or 3 years of experience with a related Master's degree.
  • Demonstrated experience in program finance.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Comfortable presenting financial analyses to stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Experience in proactively addressing client concerns.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to tasks.
