About the Role

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, and possess a cheerful outlook with a strong ability to adapt quickly to processes. Previous medical office experience is preferred, but not required. The successful candidate will also have experience dealing with insurance companies, verification processes, and authorization requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify insurance eligibility and obtain referrals/authorizations for Office Visits and Procedures or Equipment.
  • Communicate with assigned clinical teams and patient families about unattainable or delayed insurance referrals/authorizations.
  • Monitor voice mail and return calls as appropriate for the main HMO phone line.
  • Process encounters via the DAG work queue daily.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of specialized training beyond high school.
  • Customer service and HC experience is preferred.
  • One to three years' experience in medical offices/call centers/referral/authorization experience.
  • EPIC and Prior Psychology/Neuro-Psychology authorization/referral experience is preferred.

Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
