Key Responsibilities

OBXtek is seeking a qualified Acquisition Specialist, Journeyman - PBBE (SSC/CGU – GPS User Equipment) to support the United States Space Force (USSF) Space Systems Command (SSC) Acquisition Support Services contract, focusing on Military Communication (MilComm) and Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Directorate.

The selected candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive support to Space Force clients. Primary duties include:

  • Independently managing high-stakes or mission-critical projects while executing all functional responsibilities.
  • Delivering Planning, Programming, Budget, and Execution (PBBE) assistance.
  • Evaluating various stages of the planning, programming, budgeting, and execution processes to enhance program administration and management within the Directorate, offering strategic recommendations to the Government.
  • Establishing procedures for precise and complete responses to planning, programming, budgeting, and execution management tasks in alignment with official directives and regulations.
  • Offering subject matter expertise on Government budgets, foreign military sales funding, and international partner agreements.
  • Conducting research, performing reviews, and providing detailed assessments.
  • Assisting in the formulation of the Program Objective Memorandum, Staffer Day preparations, and various budget execution activities.
  • Producing thorough documentation and justifications for assessment findings, corrective action plans, and recommendations.

Compensation Range: $110,000 - $185,000/year

Qualifications

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be a US Citizen and possess a current Secret Clearance.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in a relevant field such as Management, Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Science, Technology, Engineering, or Statistics.
  • 3 to 10 years of substantial, relevant experience in high-visibility or mission-critical program roles, executing all functional duties independently.
  • Proven ability to advise, innovate, optimize, and provide comprehensive recommendations to Government Senior Leaders.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and familiarity with DoD, Air Force, and/or Space Force tools.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in business is preferred.
  • APDP Level II or equivalent certification is preferred.
