This position will play a pivotal role in advancing innovative transit and multimodal transportation planning initiatives across the western United States.

Key Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse range of projects, plans, and studies aimed at enhancing community mobility and quality of life. Specific duties include:

  • Leading project management and planning efforts related to transit and transportation.
  • Overseeing various planning studies, including transit alignment and mode analyses, as well as NEPA and PEL planning.
  • Researching and applying innovative best practices in transit and transportation planning.
  • Analyzing data related to transportation, land use, equity, and economic factors to develop metrics and planning recommendations.
  • Effectively communicating technical information to diverse audiences and producing high-quality technical documentation.
  • Collaborating with our Public Engagement team to facilitate virtual and in-person outreach efforts.
Qualifications:

We are seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in urban planning or a related field (required); a master's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Experience in client relations and business development.
  • Familiarity with public transit systems and collaboration with public agencies.
  • A proactive and entrepreneurial mindset, capable of working independently or as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in research, Geographic Information Systems, data analysis, and visualization tools.
  • Strong technical writing skills and the ability to produce complex written materials.
  • Experience in creating charts, graphics, and visuals for planning documents.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with agency staff, public officials, and community stakeholders.
  • A passion for working in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
