Bilingual Administrative Assistant

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced HR Support Specialist to join our team at Surge Staffing. The ideal candidate will have 1+ year's experience in HR and/or administrative support, with proficiency in bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills. You will be responsible for performing various support functions and assisting employees with questions and concerns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the HR Manager in maintaining departmental records and reports, HR files, and HRIS (Human Resources Information System)
- Assist with payroll, recruitment, retention, and benefits administration
- Attend administrative staff meetings and other meetings as required
- Manage temporary staffing agency payroll reporting
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and state-specific employment legislation to ensure compliance on employee relations matters
Salary and Benefits:
The salary for this position is estimated to be $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer excellent benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- 1+ years' experience in HR and/or administrative support
- Manufacturing experience is strongly preferred
- SHRM or HRCI Certification encouraged and will be supported if not already obtained
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with a self-starter personality
- Good time management skills and the ability to interpret and communicate data
- Understanding of full cycle recruiting and sourcing activities
- Hands-on experience with payroll systems and HRIS
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, strong Excel skills
- Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization and employees
- Knowledge of HR-related federal, state, and local laws and regulations
