About the Role

This position provides administrative support to the Human Resources team at Surge Staffing. As an HR Assistant, you will assist with various aspects of the HR function, including payroll, recruitment, retention, and benefits administration.

You will maintain departmental records and reports, HR files, and HRIS (Human Resources Information System). Additionally, you will participate in administrative staff meetings and attend other meetings as required.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide HR support, including payroll, recruitment, retention, and benefits administration.
  • Conduct recruitment and onboarding efforts for non-exempt and production employees, students, and temporary employees.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records and reports.
  • Support the HR Manager in achieving operational goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • 1+ years of experience in HR and/or administrative support.
  • Manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
  • SHRM or HRCI Certification encouraged and will be supported if not already obtained.
