We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Lab Support Technician to join our team at SSM Health. As a Lab Support Technician, you will play a critical role in the daily operation of our laboratory, ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of patient samples.
Key Responsibilities- Assist laboratory staff in collecting, labeling, processing, and preserving blood, urine, and other specimens according to established laboratory procedures.
- Enter, access, and execute lab orders in the appropriate laboratory and electronic medical record system.
- Clean and maintain laboratory supplies and work area.
- Perform phlebotomy and/or waived testing as needed.
- Identify patients using two identifiers.
- Perform a variety of administrative and clerical duties, including admission activities, insurance verification, order entry processing, and medical record processing.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- No experience required, but prior laboratory experience is preferred.
