Job Summary

The Engineering Technician I is a key member of our team, providing technical support services to the Federal Aviation Administration Logistic Center (FAALC) at the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center Logistic Center in Oklahoma City, OK.

This role involves providing engineering technician services to various FAALC Product Divisions, ensuring that electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment meets serviceability, reliability, and availability requirements. The successful candidate will assemble, repair, and refurbish equipment, components, test fixtures, and prototypes, as well as perform equipment performance analyses and data collection and reporting.

Additionally, the Engineering Technician I will install equipment and modifications in accordance with applicable FAA and FAALC standards, orders, technical instructions, and quality procedures. Standard individual administrative tasks will also be performed, including individual time, timesheet, leave, and training completion, performance management, and compliance with customer organization and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Works under the functional/operational supervision of the Shop Lead and/or Technical Manager/Project Manager.
  • Assembles and repairs electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems, subsystems, and components.
  • Completes applicable adjustment, testing, and certification processes on all items assembled or repaired.
  • Performs equipment and component performance analyses to determine operating characteristics and parameters.
  • Installs electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems, subsystems, components, test fixtures, modifications, and engineering prototypes.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum High School diploma/GED with completion of formal technical training courses.
  • Dedication to quality work and a strong work ethic.
  • NACI Clearance - ability to obtain Public Trust.
  • Travel up to 75%.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Rope repelling / on rope work at heights.
  • Installation of electronic and mechanical systems and components.
  • Preventative maintenance and replacement of tower, radome, and cab glass components.
  • Experience with operation of boom man lifts and motorized forklifts.
