Join Our Growing Team as a Title Processing Specialist

At Ledbetter Law Group, we are expanding our operations and are in search of a skilled Title Processing Specialist to enhance our team. In this role, you will support clients and our title department in ensuring that title applications are accurately prepared and submitted. You will collaborate with the team to address any issues or discrepancies, ensuring the delivery of a clear title.

Compensation:

$45,000 - $55,000 annually

Key Responsibilities:

  • Input and submit title and loan documents into tracking software to monitor applicant progress.
  • Conduct thorough research and verification of essential documents, including property title records, ownership details, public records, deeds, leases, surveys, contracts, and agreements to ensure a clear title.
  • Work closely with title examiners and underwriters to prepare title insurance policies, binders, and commitments, as well as collaborate with loan closers to generate HUD-1 real estate settlement statements.
  • Provide clerical and data entry support to title officers, fulfilling essential administrative duties.
  • Ensure compliance with all closing instructions as outlined in the closing package, coordinating with loan officers, mortgage processors, and underwriters to meet all underwriting commitments.

Title Processing Expertise:

  • Exhibit proficiency in examining and resolving requirements on Title Commitments.
  • Perform data entry for title orders and initiate requests for title from underwriters on new orders.
  • Identify and communicate potential issues to clients proactively.
  • Assist with post-closing tasks and support closers in completing the closing process.
  • Generate closing protection letters, Prelim-ALTA/CDs, and title requirements for lenders.
  • Order necessary services such as surveys, payoffs, and lien searches to ensure a clear title.
  • Coordinate and schedule real estate closings with all involved parties.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of title insurance, real estate processing, and closings, including professional phone etiquette and the ability to manage tasks such as ordering mortgage payoffs and surveys.

Technical Proficiency:

  • Utilize strong computer skills, including proficiency in Adobe Acrobat Standard/Pro and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
  • Experience with QUALIA software is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in real estate transactions or title processing, or as a title company pre-processor or mortgage loan processor is essential.
  • Intermediate proficiency in various software programs, including MS Office, is required.
  • Strong research, communication, customer service, and analytical skills are necessary.
  • Notary public certification is beneficial but not required.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory; some college education is advantageous.
