Exciting Opportunity at Pacific School of Religion (PSR)

Pacific School of Religion (PSR) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Senior Enrollment Counselor for Congregational Leadership to contribute to our mission. This pivotal position within the Theological Education for Leaders (TEL) Program focuses on identifying, engaging, and enrolling leaders from various congregations into our program. The ideal candidate will foster significant relationships with these leaders, understand their aspirations, and effectively articulate the benefits of the TEL Program to enhance participation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and investigate potential congregational leaders.
  • Establish connections through tailored outreach, networking opportunities, and informational gatherings.
  • Articulate the benefits of the TEL Program, highlighting its distinctive features and potential advantages.
  • Respond to inquiries and provide personalized solutions to prospective participants.
  • Collaborate with leaders to cultivate diverse and dynamic cohorts.
  • Organize and promote recruitment initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records of recruitment activities and participant interactions.
  • Work closely with the TEL Program team to ensure alignment of strategies with program goals.
  • Assess and refine recruitment strategies for maximum effectiveness.
  • Assist with graduate recruitment and admissions as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline; advanced degree in theology, religious studies, or a related field is advantageous.
  • Experience in ministry, recruitment, admissions, or community engagement, ideally within a higher education or religious context.
  • Comprehensive understanding of congregational dynamics and denominational frameworks.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with a wide range of individuals.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Commitment to social justice, inclusivity, and progressive Christian values.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
  • Willingness to participate in evening and weekend recruitment events and meetings.
