Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Worship Director to join our team at Madison Park Church of God, Inc. The ideal candidate will have a passion for leading worship and a strong ability to create a meaningful and engaging atmosphere for our congregation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead Worship Services: Plan and lead worship services that are engaging, meaningful, and Christ-centered, partnering with our Senior Pastor and staff to create a cohesive and effective worship experience.
  • Recruit and Train Musicians: Recruit and train musicians to serve the congregation with musical skill and humility, leading rehearsals that prepare for Sunday services and cultivate Christ-centered community.
  • Coordinate Worship Teams: Coordinate weekly worship teams, including PPT, sound, communion, and musicians, to ensure a smooth and effective worship experience.
  • Maintain Music Resources: Maintain CCLI licenses, organize and maintain sheet music, chord charts, and musical equipment.
  • Develop and Implement Worship Strategy: Develop and implement a worship strategy that aligns with the church's mission and vision, including planning and coordinating special services and events.
  • Collaborate with Staff: Collaborate with staff and ministry volunteers to create a worshipful atmosphere that includes music, scripture reading, prayer, silence, and art.
  • Model and Lead Heartfelt Worship: Model and lead heartfelt worship in an invitational style that draws people in, encourages participation, and points people to Jesus.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in music, theology, or related field (a plus).
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years' experience leading worship services (preferred).
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Musical Skills: Proficiency in at least one musical instrument and vocals.
  • Knowledge of Music Styles: Knowledge of diverse music styles (traditional, contemporary, multi-lingual).
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with others and effectively lead and engage a congregation in worship.
  • Passion for Worship: A passion for worshiping God in all aspects of life.
Benefits:
  • Part-time Position: 20-25 hours per week.
  • Compensation: $40,000-$50,000 annually, dependent upon experience.
