Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Parts Counterperson to join our team at Toyota/Lexus of Knoxville. As a key member of our parts department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers in selecting required parts, and ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-level service to internal and external customers, ensuring a positive and professional experience.
  • Assist customers in selecting required parts, providing information on companion part requirements and specials.
  • Pull and fill orders from stock, notifying the parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention.
  • Locate out-of-stock parts from outside sources and submit emergency orders as needed.
  • Notify the service advisor and customer when special-ordered parts have been received.
  • Follow up on back-ordered parts and ensure timely delivery.
  • Replenish assigned inventory daily and assist outside sales representatives with their orders.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair orders.
  • Receive payment from retail customers and issue credit for parts returned.
  • Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience with auto parts sales preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and possess strong organizational and time management skills.
