Patient Access Representative II

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Access Representative II to join our team at Conifer Health Solutions. As a key member of our healthcare operations team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring accurate patient registration, and maintaining compliance with financial and cash control policies.
Key Responsibilities- Greeting and Registering Patients: Provide world-class customer service, complete full patient registration at date of service, and adhere to financial and cash control policies.
- Financial Clearance and Collections: Educate patients about patient financial liabilities, employ proper and compliant patient liability collection techniques, and perform hospital cash reconciliation and secured payment entry.
- Medical Necessity and Insurance Verification: Secure medical necessity checks and verification, verify insurance, benefits, coverage, and eligibility, and complete assigned registration financial clearance work lists activities.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED required, 0-1 year in a customer service role, and 0-1 year of administrative experience in a medical facility, health insurance, or related area preferred.
- Skills and Abilities: Minimum typing skills of 35 wpm, demonstrated working knowledge of PC/CRT/printer, customer service skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge and Certifications: Course in medical terminology required, understanding of third-party payor requirements preferred, and understanding of compliance standards preferred.
