We are seeking an exceptional Oncologist - Clinical/Translational Investigator to join our team at the Commonwealth of Virginia. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced professional to contribute to the advancement of hematologic malignancy research.
Key Responsibilities- Teaching and Education: Train medical students, residents, and fellows in the lab and clinic, and actively participate in providing clinical research opportunities to fellows.
- Research: Develop and initiate investigator-initiated trials in collaboration with laboratory investigators, and establish extramural partnerships to bring innovative clinical trials to the Massey Comprehensive Cancer Center.
- Service: Participate in decreasing health disparities in the community served by Massey/VCU.
- Clinical: Attend on the inpatient wards and consult service, and/or see patients in the outpatient clinic with a focus on hematologic malignancies.
- Board certified or eligible in medical oncology or hematology
- Eligible for Virginia licensure
- Evidence of accomplishment/potential during medical school, residency, fellowship, and/or early academic career
- Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU
