Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development and Administration
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to achieve the organization's mission and financial objectives.
    • Provide leadership in developing program, organizational, and financial plans with the Board of Directors and staff.
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Communications
    • Communicate effectively with the Board of Directors and provide timely and accurate information necessary for informed decision-making.
    • Serve as the face of the organization and participate in external events to increase visibility, credibility, and brand awareness.
    • Represent the organization's programs and point of view to agencies, organizations, and the general public.
  • Budget and Finance
    • Ensure the fiscal integrity of the organization and maintain a positive financial position.
    • Work with the Board of Directors to prepare an annual budget for review and approval.
    • Set and meet aggressive annual fundraising goals to secure financial support from foundations, corporations, individuals, and government funding sources.
  • Leadership and Strategy
    • Lead the organization in fulfilling its mission to reduce the suicide rate in Montana.
    • Foster a positive, mission-driven organizational culture that reflects the organization's core values.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 4 years of senior management experience in the non-profit sector, with demonstrated success in fundraising, strategic planning, and staff management.
  • A record of leading authentic, trust-based, and genuine organizational relationships and partnerships.
  • Proven success working with a Board of Directors.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, with an innovative approach to business planning.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Passionate and authentic commitment to the mission of Suffer Out Loud.
