Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Sonographer to join our team at WVU Medicine. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing non-invasive imaging procedures to facilitate accurate diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform adult cardiac or vascular ultrasound procedures to aid in diagnosis and treatment of patients.
  • Obtain and maintain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.
  • Coordinate and prioritize patient scheduling to ensure timely completion of procedures.
  • Document procedure results and maintain accurate records.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team to support shared goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • One year of Sonography experience.
  • Must obtain one of the following certifications within two years of hire: Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS), Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS), Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS), Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS).
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of experience in a certified echocardiography laboratory or vascular laboratory.
Work Environment

This position is located in a clinical setting and requires the ability to sit for extended periods, lift, push, or pull a minimum of 40 pounds, and possess keen visual acuity.
