Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Sonographer to join our team at WVU Medicine. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing non-invasive imaging procedures to facilitate accurate diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform adult cardiac or vascular ultrasound procedures to aid in diagnosis and treatment
  • Coordinate and prioritize patient scheduling to ensure timely completion of procedures
  • Obtain necessary information for procedures, answer patient questions, and provide excellent customer service
  • Document procedures and results accurately to inform physicians and ensure proper billing
  • Collaborate with healthcare team to support shared goals and contribute to a positive patient experience
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; one year of sonography experience preferred
  • Must obtain appropriate certification within two years of hire (Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, Registered Cardiac Sonographer, etc.)
  • Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of experience in a certified echocardiography laboratory or vascular laboratory preferred
