Who We Seek:

We are in search of a motivated and passionate Advanced Materials Research Specialist to play a crucial role in our pioneering team focused on critical material separation techniques in the laboratory. Your main responsibility will be to enhance our methods for extracting, separating, and refining iron, rare earth elements, and other essential materials through careful experimentation and optimization. You will be instrumental in selecting, analyzing, and refining materials utilized in our processes, ensuring they adhere to the highest standards of efficiency, selectivity, and sustainability. Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead research projects aimed at developing, testing, and characterizing materials designed for high-temperature metals production, with a focus on metal casting and post-processing techniques to enhance performance.
  • Conduct thorough materials testing under simulated production conditions, carefully assessing durability, longevity, and recyclability.
  • Innovate and refine metal production processes through strategic material selection, emphasizing recyclability.
  • Analyze equipment specifications, material compatibility, and process parameters to guide strategic materials selection and recycling initiatives.
  • Drive the integration of advanced materials solutions into both current and future production systems, promoting improvements in performance and efficiency.
  • Utilize advanced materials analytical techniques to gain deep insights into material behaviors in challenging production environments.
  • Identify emerging trends, potential challenges, and opportunities for advancement, producing detailed experimental reports and analytical findings.
  • Encourage interdisciplinary collaboration with teams of chemical engineers, metallurgists, process technicians, and research personnel to seamlessly implement innovative material solutions.
  • Thoroughly document all stages of materials development projects, creating comprehensive technical reports and effectively sharing findings with stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on materials technology trends and advancements relevant to critical metals production, contributing to ongoing research and innovation efforts.
Qualifications:
  • Master's or Ph.D. in Chemistry or a related discipline, with a specialization in inorganic chemistry and expertise in rare earth metal extraction methods, including solvent extraction, ion exchange, and liquid-liquid separation techniques.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in metallurgical engineering within the metals production or related field.
  • Proficient in materials characterization tools such as Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP), X-ray Diffraction (XRD), and Scanning Electron Microscopy with Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (SEM/EDS).
  • Strong analytical capabilities for data analysis, utilizing statistical software and data visualization techniques.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
