Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified Clinical Research Scientist to become an integral part of our expanding clinical affairs team in the Heart Failure division.
Key Responsibilities
The Clinical Research Scientist will be responsible for:
- Creating scientific documentation essential for the design and execution of clinical trials, including but not limited to clinical trial protocols, case report forms, informed consent documents, prior investigation reports, and investigator brochures.
- Contributing as an author to peer-reviewed publications of clinical study findings in collaboration with investigator authors and project management.
- Developing presentations to share clinical data at significant international conferences.
- Working closely with statistics, medical affairs, and regulatory affairs teams to achieve objectives that align with business needs as defined by marketing and reimbursement teams.
- Synthesizing literature across various products and therapies within the designated therapeutic area.
- Engaging with external stakeholders, including physician investigators and key opinion leaders, to effectively represent Abbott as a scientific authority in the assigned therapy.
- Preparing documents to support regulatory submissions for Abbott products and addressing inquiries from regulatory bodies regarding existing submissions.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
- A PhD in biomedical engineering, biological sciences, biostatistics, or a related discipline.
- Preferred experience in mechanical circulatory support technologies, heart failure pathophysiology, echocardiography, cardiovascular hemodynamics, or heart failure medicine.
- Familiarity with data analytics is advantageous.
- A proven ability to independently resolve issues.
- Capability to collaborate effectively within a team and as an individual contributor in a dynamic environment.
- Strong organizational skills and self-motivation with the ability to initiate and complete tasks.
