Quality Assurance Specialist

JOB SUMMARY


As a key member of the ceramics processing team, the Quality Assurance Specialist is tasked with examining ceramic components at varying magnifications for visual and feature defects, while also collaborating with the engineering team to refine our operational processes.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough inspections of delicate ceramic components for both visual and feature defects, meticulously documenting findings in a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to ensure data integrity

Execute ceramic core and inspection procedures in compliance with AS9100 standards

Interpret and adhere to work instructions and standard operating procedures with a strong focus on quality assurance

Meet production and efficiency targets by adhering to operational and quality benchmarks

Engage collaboratively with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot challenges and maintain a strong emphasis on quality

Uphold a safe and organized work environment by exceeding established 6S standards

Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or management

QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma, GED, or a minimum of 2 years' experience in a visual inspection capacity within a manufacturing setting

Experience working under magnification on intricate components or assemblies

High dexterity to manage detailed surfaces requiring precise hand movements

Ability to closely collaborate with engineers to design and implement experiments

Strong attention to both visual and written details

Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate potential staggered shifts to meet production needs

Proficiency in written and spoken English is mandatory

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
At least 3 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, defense, or aerospace manufacturing

Background in quality inspection processes

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Capability to work for 8 hours under magnification

Ability to handle, adjust, and transport fragile manufactured components

Regular movement across a production floor of approximately 6,000 square feet

Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl

Demonstration of good visual acuity and hearing

This position requires access to information protected under U.S. export control laws, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations and/or the Export Administration Regulations.
