Job Overview

Position Title: Aircraft Structural Assembler

Location: Greensboro, NC

Compensation: $32.86 per hour

Position Details:

  • Contract duration of 12 months with potential for extension.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Execute assembly, fitting, and installation of components and structures, including drilling and riveting, with minimal oversight. Ensure compliance with all quality standards.
  • Accurately complete routine and specialized tasks within established timelines.
  • Address complex repairs and propose solutions for related challenges.
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve work stoppages, engage in NH Circle projects, and contribute to best practice development.
  • Mentor and train colleagues on various tasks.
  • Keep supervisors updated on task progress, challenges, or delays.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized workspace, supporting the 5S methodology.
  • Guide peers in workspace maintenance.
  • Fulfill HACI certification requirements for internal aircraft processes and ongoing training.

Essential Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Relevant experience or proven skills to perform the required tasks.
  • A&P and/or related certifications are preferred.
  • Proficient in arithmetic, tools, and blueprints. Ability to read work orders, blueprints, and process specifications.
  • Maintain a high level of alertness and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Advanced knowledge of aircraft systems or components.
  • Experience in direct customer interactions.
  • Strong teamwork ethic with minimal supervision required.
  • Willingness to work overtime, on-call, and during call-ins as necessary.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); intermediate knowledge of SAP and basic understanding of TCM preferred.
  • Open to national and international travel without restrictions.

Physical Demands:

  • Potential exposure to equipment noise, temperature variations, dust, and aircraft odors.
  • Ability to stand, sit, squat, walk, bend, move, reach, or stretch for extended periods as required.
  • Compliance with all regulatory standards (FAA, OSHA, DOT, EPA, etc.).
  • Capability to read, hear, speak, and see as necessary for job functions.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow management directives and safety guidelines.
