Position Overview

The role of the Product Support Field Representative involves delivering exceptional product and technical assistance for our forklift offerings. This position is crucial for fostering growth within service groups associated with National Accounts, conducting warranty assessments, and providing on-site troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive product support for forklifts manufactured by the company within the designated region.
  • Assist internal teams with inquiries or projects related to service.
  • Conduct training sessions aimed at enhancing the skills of service representatives from Dealer Accounts.
  • Document all relevant service calls in the Service Call Center.
  • Monitor and follow up on all issues within the assigned territory on a weekly basis.
  • Prepare and submit weekly reports detailing activities to management.
  • Collaborate with the warranty department to review significant warranty claims.
  • Provide updated technical resources to Dealer Accounts.
  • Maintain communication with all internal partners through messaging systems.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma (or equivalent) is required; alternatively, 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in lift trucks may be considered.

Travel: This position requires travel to support Dealer Accounts within the assigned territory, which may reach up to 70% of the time.

Skills:

  • Language Proficiency: Ability to read and interpret safety regulations, operational and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals. Proficient in writing routine reports and communicating effectively in group settings.
  • Mathematical Skills: Competence in calculating figures such as discounts, interest, and percentages, as well as applying basic algebra and geometry concepts.
  • Reasoning Ability: Capable of applying common sense to follow instructions in various formats and solve problems involving multiple concrete variables.

Physical Demands: The physical requirements for this role include the ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
