Position Summary
As a Field Service Representative specializing in forklift product support, you will be responsible for delivering technical assistance and training for our forklift trucks. Your role will focus on fostering growth within National Accounts service groups, conducting warranty assessments, and troubleshooting issues in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive product support for forklifts within your designated territory.
- Assist internal teams with service-related inquiries and projects.
- Conduct training sessions for Dealer Accounts service representatives.
- Log all relevant service calls into the Service Call Center.
- Monitor and follow up on all territory-related issues weekly.
- Prepare and submit weekly reports detailing your activities to the general manager.
- Collaborate with the warranty department to review high-value warranty claims.
- Provide updated technical information to Dealer Accounts.
- Maintain communication with all internal partners through the messaging system.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma (or equivalent); or 5-10 years of relevant experience in lift trucks; or a combination of education and experience.
- Travel: Required travel to support Dealer Accounts within your territory (up to 70%). Travel may occur with or without prior notice.
- Skills: Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Proficient in writing routine reports and correspondence. Capable of effectively communicating before groups of customers or employees.
- Mathematical Skills: Proficient in calculating figures such as discounts, interest, and percentages. Familiarity with basic algebra and geometry concepts.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions provided in various formats. Capable of addressing problems involving multiple concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical Demands
The physical requirements for this position include regularly lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds, frequently lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.
