Job Overview:

The State of Montana is seeking a skilled Electronics Specialist to join our team in the role of Video Gaming Machine Inspector. As a key member of our compliance team, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing inspections of half the permitted video gambling machines (VGMs) and Tier I systems in Montana.
  • Serving as a technical resource on VGMs, Tier I systems, and audit storage devices (ASDs) for regional compliance specialists, auditors, and tax and licensing specialists.
  • Assisting in investigating reported hardware and software malfunctions and after-hours gambling.
  • Assisting licensed gambling establishments with troubleshooting, calibrating, and maintaining VGMs.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or two-year vocational training.
  • Two years of service/technician experience in the gambling industry.
  • Valid drivers license.
  • Other equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with multiple VGM platforms.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of electronic principles, theory, and testing.
  • Knowledge of compliance techniques and practices.
