Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dermatology Support Specialist to join our team at Forefront Dermatology. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dermatology clinic.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for exams by obtaining vital information, including chief complaint, medical history, family history, social history, and review of systems.
  • Documentation: Accurately document all patient information, including physical exams, assessments, procedures, prescriptions, consents, and operative/pathology reports.
  • Procedure Assistance: Assist providers with procedures such as surgical photographs, biopsies, excisions, Mohs micrographic skin cancer surgery, electrodessication and curettage, phlebotomy, phototherapy, injections, patch testing, and instrument sterilization.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule and coordinate patient appointments according to company protocols, procedures, and physician schedule templates.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date on new and existing dermatological conditions and be able to explain them to patients.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of patient information, including pathology, biopsy, lab, and temperature records.
  • Compliance: Adhere to compliance and complete compliance training as required.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a medical or clinical setting preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in electronic medical records.
