Position Summary:
As a Project Engineer, you will be instrumental in managing projects from inception to completion. Your organizational skills, decisiveness, and adaptability will be key in addressing challenges as they arise. This role involves direct interaction with clients, making effective communication a vital component of your responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in bid and proposal processes, ensuring compliance with all requirements outlined in requests for proposals.
  • Analyze technical contract specifications and decompose projects into manageable tasks.
  • Oversee the daily execution of multiple projects, ensuring adherence to budgetary, scheduling, and performance objectives.
  • Facilitate all client communications, both verbal and written, and be available for after-hours support as necessary.
  • Lead project meetings from initiation through to completion, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned.
  • Evaluate and initiate purchase requisitions based on technical component quotes and project specifications.
  • Manage engineering documentation, material logistics, production timelines, and installation schedules to guarantee timely project delivery.
  • Address and resolve installation challenges, both technical and operational.
  • Continuously assess and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle, providing updates on material status and installation concerns.
  • Communicate any scope changes to clients and obtain necessary approvals prior to executing modifications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited institution, or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in Project Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Familiarity with standard project management practices and procedures.
  • Proficient in interpreting electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Skilled in using MS Project, MS Office Suite, and AutoCAD.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to cultivate strong relationships with engineering teams, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of meeting tight deadlines.
  • A self-motivated team player with the ability to work independently.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and work outside regular hours when required.

All candidates must be physically capable of climbing ladders and lifting boxes weighing up to 50 lbs. A proven track record of success is essential, while advanced degrees are not mandatory.

The selected candidate will need to provide documentation proving their eligibility to work in the United States upon hiring and will be subject to the E-Verify program.
