Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at McLean Hospital (MCL) as a Nurse Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Planning: Accurately assess patients' needs and develop individualized care plans to address their physical and emotional health requirements.
  • Nursing Interventions: Implement evidence-based nursing interventions to promote patient recovery and well-being.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Provide leadership and guidance to Mental Health Workers and other team members to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Education and Training: Educate patients and their families on health management and disease prevention strategies.
  • Professional Development: Maintain a commitment to ongoing professional growth and competency in mental health nursing practice.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, BSN preferred.
  • Experience: No experience required, one year medical/psychiatric experience preferred.
  • Licensure: Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • Communication Skills: Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills to use electronic medical records and other online systems.
