Key Responsibilities- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assess, plan, and implement individualized patient care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Assist with Daily Operations: Collaborate with the manager to coordinate patient care, allocate resources, and communicate with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Lead by Example: Demonstrate clinical expertise and leadership skills to inspire and motivate colleagues to deliver exceptional patient care.
- Ensure Quality and Safety: Participate in performance improvement activities, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes to enhance patient care and safety.
- Develop and Implement Policies: Collaborate with the manager to develop, implement, and evaluate policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Atrium Health's standards.
- Education: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Experience: Minimum two years of nursing experience, preferably in a leadership role.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider status according to the American Heart Association, and appropriate professional certification (either clinical or leadership) within 1 year of eligibility for professional certification exam.
This role requires the ability to walk, stand, sit, lift, reach, stoop, bend, push, and pull. Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies. Must speak and understand English fluently. Intact sense of sight, hearing, smell, and touch. Finger dexterity. Critical thinking and ability to concentrate.
