Job Title: Operations Supervisor (E/S) - OPS

Job Summary:

The Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Environmental Services department. This includes managing a team of entry-level employees, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, planning capabilities, and documentation. They will also be responsible for coordinating and communicating with shift counterparts to ensure smooth operation between shifts and proper handoff of operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction for day-to-day operation with a team of entry-level employees to meet the demand of both external and internal customers.
  • Ensure safety, quality, and productivity of the Environmental Services department.
  • Manage the beginning and end-of-shift report capturing and communicating key service, safety, employee relations, and equipment issues.
  • Coordinate and communicate with shift counterparts to ensure smooth operation between shifts and proper handoff of operation.
  • Perform other miscellaneous building operations services or duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Education – Educational background and academic qualifications are important and required, minimum high school diploma or equivalent, however associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience – Five (5) to seven (7) years of progressively responsible housekeeping experience, equivalent experience will be considered. Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Skills – Ability to perform physical labor (bending, heavy lifting, etc.), well-developed communication skills, good oral, written, and listening skills, good analytical skills, including ability to lead, facilitate, plan, document, and organize, PC literate, customer focus, organized, problem-solving, and team player.

Working Conditions:

The Operations Supervisor will work in a fast-paced environment with a team of entry-level employees. They will be required to work long hours, including weekends, as required. The successful candidate will be able to adapt to changes well and have a flexible schedule.
