Job Summary

Flex-N-Gate is a leading manufacturer and supplier of components for the automotive industry, seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tool & Die Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing operations, you will be responsible for supervising tool makers and ensuring that activities are performed properly in regards to repair and troubleshooting of Transfer and Progressive Dies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair and maintain Transfer and Progressive Dies to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Perform advanced TIG welding and tear-down of dies to identify and repair issues.
  • Organize priorities and assign activities in the tooling area to ensure smooth operations.
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans and tool improvement plans to reduce downtime and improve productivity.
  • Train toolmakers on maintenance tasks and assist with new projects and drawing checks.
  • Ensure compliance with tooling planning and quality standards, and lead the 5S initiative in the department.
  • Manage and follow-up on manpower and die protection plans to guarantee quality at 100%.
  • Coordinate production plan monitoring and implement the QDC program and any engineering changes.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of work experience in a related field, with expertise in tool repair and maintenance.
  • Advanced TIG welding skills and certifications from accredited schools in computer systems.
  • Knowledge of basic computer hardware and applications software.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively alone and prioritize tasks.
  • Highly motivated and service-oriented individual with an attention to detail.
