Overview:

The Logistics Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing hourly teams responsible for the unloading, storage, and distribution of materials essential for production within an automotive assembly facility. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Championing safety, delivery, cost efficiency, quality, and team morale among hourly workforce.
  • Cultivating team leaders to align with corporate standards and transforming current material delivery methods to enhance productivity and minimize manufacturing expenses through World Class Manufacturing practices.
  • Ensuring accuracy in inventory and record-keeping while fostering a positive rapport with both management and union-represented staff.
  • Managing multiple teams in a dynamic, high-volume unionized manufacturing setting.
  • Coordinating daily team operations to meet business objectives and implementing World Class Manufacturing (WCM) tools and processes related to material flow.
  • Responsible for guiding and developing high-performing teams, including Team Leaders and Team Members, while embodying Leadership Principles.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting equipment and machinery.
  • Strong mathematical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Above-average proficiency in Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team as well as work independently.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong capacity for organization and prioritization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • A dedicated team player, self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Prior experience in the automotive manufacturing sector.
  • Familiarity with logistics warehouse operations.
  • Previous management experience is advantageous.
