Overview:

The HR Generalist II plays a crucial role in managing various human resources functions and employee benefits. The responsibilities of this position encompass a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Documentation Management: Create and process necessary letters, forms, and notifications for personnel changes, including demographic updates, benefits adjustments, and position changes.
  • Database Maintenance: Ensure the confidentiality and accuracy of databases and tracking systems that support the HR Department's operations.
  • Employee Interaction: Conduct meetings with employees to address and process benefit requests and modifications.
  • Record Keeping: Accurately document and store information, forms, and records in personnel files and electronic systems.
  • Recruitment Support: Participate in recruitment efforts, including reviewing applications, conducting interviews, performing background checks, and making recommendations.
  • Employee Guidance: Provide support and orientation to employees regarding HR-related matters and agency policies.
  • Workers Compensation Assistance: Aid in the management of Workers Compensation claims and employee injury reporting.
  • OSHA Compliance: Assist in maintaining OSHA logs and records.
  • Leave Management: Support the administration of Employee Leaves of Absence.
  • Team Collaboration: Assist colleagues in the HR department as required.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in a related field with three years of experience, or a High School Diploma with relevant experience deemed sufficient by the reviewing agency.
  • A valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record according to the agency's insurance requirements.

Skills Required:

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, along with effective time management and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and software relevant to HR operations.
  • Ability to generate and present detailed written reports and respond to inquiries regarding those reports.
  • Sound judgment in both routine and emergency situations.
  • Physical capability to perform job duties, including prolonged periods of sitting and the ability to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds.

Note: This position is essential for the effective functioning of the HR department and contributes significantly to the overall employee experience.
