Job SummaryThe Director of Capital Markets & Investor Relations will lead our Investor Relations team, responsible for raising capital for multifamily real estate investments across the Intermountain West Region. This senior-level position requires at least seven years of experience in real estate capital formation with high-net-worth individuals, family offices, registered investment advisors, real estate funds, or other capital sources.
Responsibilities- Contribute to the development of the organization's strategic goals and carry the primary role of raising capital from new equity sources.
- Develop a strong understanding of Brinkman Real Estate Services, LLC's brand, track record, and pipeline.
- Lead the firm's capital formation strategies and activities, implementing capital markets strategies to raise funds from existing and new investors.
- Liaise and serve as the primary point-of-contact with existing and prospective investors to facilitate capital raising efforts for the real estate investment platform.
- Plan and execute fundraising initiatives, create strategic partnerships, and identify and analyze potential funding sources and opportunities.
- Develop compelling fundraising strategies and pitch decks, conducting outreach, cultivating, and managing relationships with stakeholders such as investors, family offices, registered investment advisors, investment banks, real estate funds, and private equity.
- Act as a representative for the organization at fundraising events.
- Oversee the development of marketing materials and implementation of marketing campaigns to reach the firm's capital raising strategies and goals.
- Maintain a presence externally in the field through participation at industry conferences, with outside organizations, on committees, etc.
- Establish and maintain relationships with registered investment advisors, industry influencers, key strategic partners, and clients, developing specific client relations programs.
- Establish a professional network and maintain contacts and records of activity in the company's CRM portal.
The ideal candidate will have a BS/BA in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Communications, or a related field, with an MBA preferred. A minimum of seven years of experience in raising capital for real estate investments from high-net-worth individuals, family offices, registered investment advisors, real estate funds, or other capital sources is required. Demonstrated experience in sales in commercial real estate, private wealth management, alternative assets, and/or the insurance industries is also necessary.
The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the investor ecosystem, superb communication skills, both written and verbal, and analytical expertise to understand and interpret pro forma models and returns. Ability to collaborate and work with multiple internal and external stakeholders, mature, confident, and comfortable interacting with a senior executive leadership team, and strong personal integrity with the highest ethical standards are essential.
Able to maintain confidentiality and exercise judgment and discretion, superb organizational and planning skills, long-term investment mindset geared towards meeting investor expectations, and client/customer service-oriented approach are also required. Travel and attendance at after-hours events may be necessary, with occasional travel to Colorado and other locations.
