ProBio delivers comprehensive Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) services, guiding clients from drug discovery through to commercialization. With a focus on cell and gene therapy (CGT), vaccines, biologics discovery, and antibody protein drugs, ProBio accelerates drug development processes for its partners. The company’s extensive CGT solutions encompass Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls (CMC) for plasmids and viral vectors, supporting clinical and commercial manufacturing. ProBio is recognized for its significant contributions to clinical approvals for CGT drugs, including mRNA vaccines and CAR-T therapies in China, and is the pioneer in providing GMP manufacturing for in vitro transcription (IVT) template linearized plasmids.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Corporate Legal Matters:
    • Evaluate contracts and deliver legal assistance to business operations in the EU and US markets.
    • Conduct legal research on assigned issues under the guidance of a supervising attorney.
    • Collaborate with the headquarters' Secretary Office to facilitate corporate organizational tasks for EU and US legal entities, ensuring accurate documentation of organizational structures.
    • Gather, organize, and update information on new laws, regulations, and relevant cases pertinent to the technology sector, employment, public tenders, EHS, GDPR, etc., for compliance purposes.
  • Litigation Oversight:
    • Oversee litigation cases and perform legal research on critical case matters.
    • Collect data, conduct internal investigations, and manage external legal counsel.
  • Immigration and Work Permit Tasks:
    • Coordinate with HR and external law firms on employment-related immigration or visa issues.
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as directed by the supervising attorney.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree with a minimum of two years of legal experience as a licensed attorney in a law firm or in-house legal department; or an LLM degree with a passed U.S. State bar and two years of legal experience.
  • Strong motivation and commitment to performing thorough groundwork and seeking growth opportunities within the legal profession.
  • Excellent organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in additional languages, particularly those of US and EU countries, as well as Mandarin, is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Capability to identify issues and devise effective solutions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
