Role Summary
The Procurement Specialist/Advisor will play a crucial role in managing capital expenditure procurement, focusing on cost efficiency and supplier relationship management. This position is essential for supporting the company's strategic goals in the biotechnology sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee capital expenditure procurement processes.
- Implement purchasing strategies aimed at cost reduction.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to resolve procurement-related issues.
- Negotiate contracts and collaborate with partners to optimize terms and mitigate risks.
- Build and maintain relationships with key functional managers to understand their procurement needs.
- Manage Master Service Agreements (MSA), annual contracts, and bid processes.
- Adhere to global procurement standard operating procedures and policies.
- Evaluate supplier performance against contractual obligations and service levels.
- Maintain accurate material codes and configurations in ERP/SAP systems.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in sourcing or procurement.
- Familiarity with bidding processes and criteria.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong contract management and negotiation abilities.
- Proficient in project and change management.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to enhance operational efficiency continuously.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with ERP/SAP systems.
- Experience working in diverse, multicultural teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in GMP biopharmaceutical procurement is advantageous.
- Background in contract development and execution.
- Data-driven decision-making skills.
