Job Summary:

The National Account Manager is a key role within Gypsum Management & Supply, Inc. responsible for driving revenue growth and profitability through strategic sales and marketing initiatives.

This position requires a strong understanding of the construction industry, with a focus on national accounts and a proven track record of success in achieving sales and revenue targets.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Achieving assigned revenue and profitability targets with assigned national accounts
  • Building and maintaining strong partnership relationships with customers and sales teams
  • Analyzing customer needs and market trends to accurately forecast demands and identify potential new products and services
  • Researching and sourcing potential new customers
  • Cultivating identified target customers in both existing and new geographic markets
  • Coordinating with key personnel at the regional, district, and store levels to present and execute revenue-producing activities
  • Participating in customer-related activities, including Pro Shows, Union/associations events, and other events to create demand and revenue for Ames Taping Tools
  • Quarterly and mid-year business presentations to assigned national accounts
  • Collaborating and assisting the Head of National Accounts in driving sales and services of Ames Taping Tools to gain market share
  • Identifying and coordinating field training to existing and targeted customers
  • Resolving customer complaints

The National Account Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve budgeted revenue and profit growth with assigned and targeted national accounts.

This role requires a high degree of analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and present information to executives, managers, associates, users, and customers both internally and externally.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree and/or five years of sales experience, including construction-related sales with customers on a national and regional level.

The National Account Manager will be expected to work collaboratively with all internal stakeholders to provide world-class service and support our leadership position in the industry.

This role requires up to 75% travel depending on customer activities.

The ability to perform business math functions using calculators or computers is essential, including gross profit, gross margin, mark-up, discount, etc.

The ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations is required.
