Job Summary

Cayuga Health System is seeking a skilled Plumber to join our team. As a Plumber, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems, including medical air, steam, and plumbing systems. You will work under the supervision of the Facility Manager and will be responsible for performing a variety of building and maintenance repair tasks of a skilled and semi-skilled nature.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform skilled plumbing work, including installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems.
  • Demonstrate skilled use of computer facility management software system.
  • Perform semi-skilled HVAC work.
  • Ability to perform and complete work at various sites throughout the healthcare network in an efficient manner.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on a variety of equipment according to established procedures.
  • Inspect, calibrate, adjust, lubricate, and repair or replace components of the plumbing system.
  • Service and repair the more complex plumbing equipment.
  • Schedule and maintain records of maintenance repairs.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrable plumbing experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in facilities engineering in a hospital environment.
  • 5+ years of relevant commercial plumbing experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • NYS Backflow Preventer Certification, Medical Gas ASSE 6040 certification preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • This position requires the ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Requirements also include climbing, bending, and the ability to get into tight spaces while working off a ladder.
Location and Travel Requirements
  • Onsite at our Main Campus.
  • Periodic travel to other facilities can be expected in this role.
Pay Range Disclosure
  • $29 - $37 per hour.
