Cornell University is seeking a skilled Plumber to join our Facilities Management team. As a key steward of the University's facilities, you will be responsible for performing installation and maintenance on building and utilities distribution piping systems.
Key Responsibilities- Install and maintain piping systems for plumbing, pipefitting, and sprinklerfitter trade
- Read and understand shop and field drawings/documents
- Work in crawl spaces, attics, laboratories, and other confined areas
- Inspect and repair high-pressure steam boilers
- Deliver heavy materials to job sites
- High school diploma or equivalent with at least 5 years of experience in plumbing or related field
- Membership in the local Plumbers Union or ability to join within 30 days
- Valid US driver's license
- Good customer relations, interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
- Apprentice certification
- Experience maintaining and repairing high-pressure steam boilers
