Job Title: Principal Product Manager - LabVIEW

The Principal Product Manager (PM) within the Software Business Unit at NI plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of LabVIEW, our flagship software product. As a key member of the development team, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders, development teams, and other key roles to drive the successful delivery of valuable features and workflows within LabVIEW.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a deep understanding of market trends and the competitive landscape, with a focus on LabVIEW and its intersection with emerging technologies such as Cloud Computing, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning.
  • Act as a domain expert, understanding individual customer requirements to create functional specifications, use cases, mock-ups, and other documents required for the development team to get started.
  • Ensure solutions are designed and developed effectively to meet the business objectives of the end user, with a focus on delivering outcome-based added value to customers.
  • Validate/test newly developed features and their impact on existing features, demonstrating these new features to key stakeholders and gathering feedback.
  • Collaborate with the UX team to create a pleasant user experience for LabVIEW users.
  • Act as the hub of stakeholders for the application, interfacing with customers, sales, consulting, and development teams.
  • Support Business Management in marketing and sales strategies, including pricing, sales enablement, and customer training.
  • Help Sales, Solutions Marketing, CCS, and BU teams to support RFPs, RFQs, ongoing implementations, and customer demos.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in Product Management or Business Development.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.
  • Familiarity with LabVIEW, along with NI's test hardware and software products.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering strategy and value that will drive results.
  • Demonstrated track record of creating a business case for product investments and defining metrics to track performance over time.
  • Able to take ambiguous goals and turn them into clear action plans.
  • Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Experience in AI, machine learning, or related fields.
  • Travel - up to 25% to global sites and customer locations as needed.
