Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Advertising Representative to join our team at InsideHigherEd. This part-time position will be responsible for setting advertising deadlines, communicating with businesses, and maintaining spreadsheets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advertising and Sales
    • Set advertising deadlines with ad setters and communicate with businesses regarding active specials.
    • Give the Business Manager weekly reports on businesses contacted for the week.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Build and maintain spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel/Teams.
    • Communicate ad rates and packages to potential advertisers.
  • Team Collaboration
    • Be available for weekly meetings and other duties assigned by the Editor or Sales and Marketing Coordinator.
Requirements
  • Communication Skills
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Organizational Skills
    • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Technical Skills
    • Ability to build and maintain spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel/Teams.
  • Other Requirements
    • Creativity and graphic design experience is helpful.
    • Ability to work under strict deadlines and ability to work under pressure.
