Behavior Intervention Specialist

Cortica is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Interventionist to join its team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary treatment team, you will provide direct behavior therapy services to individuals with autism and contribute to the development of innovative treatment methods.

Responsibilities
- Implement behavior-analytic services to children with autism spectrum disorder and other neurodevelopmental differences in 1:1 and group settings.
- Collaborate with Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to develop and analyze treatment plans.
- Provide direct implementation of positive behavior strategies, including antecedent and consequence strategies.
- Work in various settings, including homes, communities, schools, and clinics, to provide direct behavior-analytic care.
- Document all interactions, including session notes and data collection.
- Assist with individualized assessment procedures, such as preference assessments and data collection.
- Work with families and supervisors to establish a supportive environment for treatment and education.
- Follow Cortica's crisis and emergency procedures, including de-escalation strategies and mandated reporting.
Requirements
- Experience working with children, preferably those with autism.
- Bachelor's degree in a human service field or relevant work experience.
- Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Board-Certified Autism Technician (BCAT) certification or willingness to obtain BCAT credential within 45 days.
- Valid California Driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Proficiency in software and systems, including electronic medical record systems and Microsoft Office products.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations for safeguarding patient information.
Compensation and Benefits
Cortica offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with company matching, paid holidays and wellness days, life insurance, disability insurance options, tuition reimbursements, and referral bonuses.
The base direct pay range for this role is $20.57 to $27.60, with indirect pay at $16.85 per hour. Compensation will be adjusted based on relevant experience, education level, and location.
