Cortica is seeking a skilled Behavior Intervention Specialist to join its team of dedicated professionals. As a key member of our multidisciplinary treatment team, you will provide direct behavior therapy services to individuals with autism and contribute to the development of innovative treatment methods.
Key Responsibilities- Attend Cortica's orientation and complete the Board Certified Autism Technician (BCAT) training program.
- Implement behavior analytic services to children with autism spectrum disorder and other neurodevelopmental differences in one-on-one and group settings.
- Provide services during regularly scheduled weekly sessions or substitute for another teammate who has called out for their session.
- Assist with clinical and administrative tasks at the home Center as assigned by the Applied Behavior Analysis Site Director or Operations Manager.
- Implement positive behavior strategies developed and analyzed with the Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Work in various settings, including the home, community, school, clinic, or other designated areas, providing direct behavior-analytic care as determined in the child's assessment and treatment plan.
- Fulfill all documentation requirements, including data collection and session notes.
- Assist with individualized assessment procedures through preference assessments and data collection.
- Work with families and supervisors to establish an environment supportive of treatment and education across all settings of care.
- Follow Cortica's crisis and emergency procedures, including de-escalation strategies and mandated reporting.
- Represent Cortica as a professional, demonstrating excellent communication skills and professional dress and demeanor.
- Experience working with children, preferably those with autism.
- A bachelor's degree in a human service field or related field; candidates with relevant work experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.
- Current or willingness to obtain a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential via Cortica's training program within the first 45 days of starting.
- Availability to work Monday through Friday between 7am and 6:30pm (hours subject to change based on Center requirements).
- A valid California Driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Proficiency in using software and systems, including electronic medical record systems and Microsoft Office products.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient information.

The base pay range for this position is $21.60 to $28.98, with compensation adjusted based on skill level, relevant experience, education level, and location.
