Join Our Team as a Behavioral Intervention Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Behavioral Intervention Specialist to join our team at the Center for Thoughtful Lasting Change, Inc. As a Behavioral Intervention Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work with children with autism and their families, providing in-home Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services.

Responsibilities:
  • Implement individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a behavior specialist
  • Engage in interventions in natural settings such as the home, school, and community
  • Teach the acquisition of language, academic, self-help, play, and social skills
  • Engage in parent training and parent participation
  • Actively participate in staff training programs
  • Assist in creating instructional materials
  • Accurately record data and session notes
  • Effectively respond to and manage challenging behaviors
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience working with children or those with developmental disabilities
  • Prior experience in ABA therapy is preferred, though not required
  • Personality traits such as flexibility, compassion, energy, and enthusiasm
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail
  • Valid driver's license and insured vehicle
