Position Overview:

A leading global financial advisory firm is seeking a Japanese bilingual Financial Research Analyst to conduct comprehensive industry and financial analysis.

Location: New York City, Midtown Office

Employment Type: Exempt position, 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday, hybrid work model

Compensation: $150,000 - $200,000 plus performance bonuses and an exceptional health benefits package.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform in-depth research and financial assessments on significant industry trends.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of client objectives and strategic goals.
  • Develop presentation materials that effectively communicate business opportunities to clients.
  • Deliver insights and recommendations to clients and Business Origination officers across the Americas and Japan.
  • Facilitate discussions among stakeholders, ensuring clarity on key points within a limited timeframe.
  • Senior team members are expected to formulate market entry strategies for clients, oversee project teams, and negotiate proposals.
  • Analyze industry dynamics and corporate financial performance.
  • Continuously enhance knowledge and expertise within specific industry sectors.
  • Review business publications, annual reports, and financial documents to collect, synthesize, and interpret data on industries and companies.
  • Engage with management teams, rating agency analysts, and industry consultants to understand corporate strategies of key players.
  • Participate in meetings and conference calls with company leadership to remain informed about corporate developments and objectives.
  • Collaborate with group companies to provide business proposals or advisory services based on gathered information and industry research.
  • Prepare well-structured, accurate, and coherent research reports on a regular basis or as needed.
  • Develop financial models and conduct financial analyses as required, utilizing statistical techniques to identify relevant economic factors that support forecasting.
  • Publish various reports on a monthly, quarterly, or semi-annual basis in a timely manner.

Required Skills:

  • Strong analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal. Key attributes include being resourceful, a self-starter, and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Expertise in one or more industry sectors.
  • Fluency in English at a native level, with business-level proficiency in Japanese.
