Patient Access Representative II

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Representative II to join our team at Tenet Healthcare. As a key member of our patient access team, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless patient registration and access to our healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and families, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience.
- Accurately and efficiently register patients, obtain necessary demographic information, and verify insurance coverage.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure timely and accurate patient access, including scheduling appointments and coordinating post-discharge care.
- Employ effective communication and negotiation skills to resolve patient and physician issues, ensuring high-quality patient care and satisfaction.
- Stay up-to-date with changing healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures, ensuring compliance and adherence to industry standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework or associate's degree preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in customer service, medical office, or healthcare-related field.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and maintain accuracy and attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records systems.
This role requires working in a hospital administration setting, with potential exposure to life-threatening patient conditions. You must be able to sit at a computer terminal for extended periods, occasionally lift/carry items weighing up to 25 pounds, and push a wheelchair to assist patients with mobility problems.
