Job Title: Software Asset Manager

FlexTek is seeking a highly skilled Software Asset Manager to join our team. As a Software Asset Manager, you will be responsible for managing all software assets within the organization, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and conditions, and providing insights into cost savings across the spend.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and support tracking of software assets from quoting, purchase, redeployment to asset retirement
  • Ability to translate contract licensing and negotiate commercial terms with suppliers
  • Ensure software assets are compliant with contractual terms & conditions
  • Associate and maintain software support and service agreements with term dates
  • Coordinate communication and activities with operational teams to track and document asset changes
  • Monitor ServiceNow system request queues, logs, and reports to track asset activities
  • Use Oracle Financial Cloud (OFC) for procurement related tasks
  • Validate process conformance and data accuracy to enforce Asset Management leading practices and policies
  • Participate in audits related to IT assets, including collecting asset information directly and indirectly
  • Facilitate tracking and documentation of asset installs, moves, adds and changes to maintain consistency and accuracy of asset information
  • Coordinate and facilitate periodic reviews of ServiceNow and OFC processes and standards, and provide recommendations for improvements impacting IT assets
  • Prepare, analyze and disseminate analysis and reports regarding history of asset utilization
  • Utilize SAM tools with asset auto-discovery technologies
  • Provide insights into cost savings across the spend, identify savings opportunities
  • Participate in tracking expenses as related to IT forecasts and budget
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of experience in IT Asset Management
  • Experience with buying and managing software
  • Experience with an EAM/ERP System
  • Has previously tracked software assets from quoting, purchase, redeployment to asset retirement
