Position Overview
As an Associate in Asset Management, you will play a crucial role in supporting the financial and operational objectives of our projects. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Budget Management: Assist in the organization and execution of the annual operating budget and business plan, ensuring alignment with ownership goals while tracking financial and operational variances.
  • Contract Compliance: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of various financial, technical, and commercial contracts, ensuring adherence to reporting and compliance requirements.
  • Market Analysis: Develop a solid grasp of wholesale market fundamentals and RTO/ISO protocols to inform decision-making.
  • Performance Monitoring: Learn to analyze key performance indicators and prepare reports for stakeholders.
  • Relationship Management: Establish and nurture relationships with project stakeholders, including landowners, electricity off-takers, lenders, and partners, ensuring effective communication and compliance with agreements.
  • Financial Modeling: Acquire skills in creating and managing Excel models for budgeting, settlements, invoicing, and financial analysis.
  • Insurance Coordination: Participate in securing insurance coverage and managing claims related to equipment damage.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside project teams, including legal, engineering, and finance professionals, to address loan agreements, commercial disputes, regulatory issues, and capital investment analyses.
  • Operational Support: Collaborate with Plant Managers and operations staff to ensure effective budget implementation and address technical challenges while communicating the commercial implications of operations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, preferably with a technical or business focus; an MBA is advantageous but not required.
  • Experience in the wholesale energy market is a plus.
  • Familiarity with power plant operations, safety regulations, and financial assessments is beneficial.
