Job Summary

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is seeking a highly skilled Grants Management Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Grants Management team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective management of grants and programs related to disaster relief and recovery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and advise on federal and state grant programs, including analysis, monitoring, and policy interpretation.
  • Provide technical advice to stakeholders regarding mitigation and grants.
  • Anticipate and resolve problems by independently making recommendations or decisions.
Requirements

To qualify for this position, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the IC-11 level in the Federal government. This experience must have equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position.

Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following:

  • Implementing and advising on federal or state grant programs.
  • Providing technical advice to stakeholders.
  • Anticipating and resolving problems.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines. You must be able to deploy with little or no advance notice to anywhere in the United States and its territories for an extended period of time.

Please note that this is a temporary 4-year appointment, and appointments may be renewed based on workload, funding, and supervisory approval.
