Grant Management Specialist II

The Specialist II for Grant Implementation will support the implementation of Fulton County Schools' Mobile Learning program related to one or more specified grants. This role will collaborate with FCS leadership to manage and coordinate the budget, programming, equipment, community outreach, and other functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with FCS leadership to develop and implement project requirements, objectives, and goals
- Plan and coordinate community engagement, project scheduling, budgeting, and administrative tasks for identified schools and communities
- Support district community engagement and marketing/communications strategies
- Develop and implement partnerships between corporate and nonprofit organizations and schools
- Represent the district in grant matters such as community partnerships and events
- Assist with project management as it relates to community engagement
- Provide training to staff or community related to a specific area or assignment
- Leverage partners to assist schools with resources and programs
- Establish and maintain supportive relationships with faith, business, civic, and community leaders
- Guide the initiation and completion of projects and programs
- Support the grant project staff by facilitating project logistics
- Assist in the development of presentations and reports
- Manage processes for ordering and maintaining supplies, materials, and equipment
- Establish and maintain positive relationships between Academics, the Office of the Superintendent, the schools, other FCS departments, and external partners
Education
High School Diploma or GED
Associate's degree preferred
Experience
Minimum 2 years' experience working in a related field
Skills
Knowledge of school and District policies and practices
Ability to develop, implement, and monitor budgets
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Demonstrated ability to work with personal and confidential information
Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks, projects, and responsibilities
Ability to work independently or as a team member
Ability to collaborate effectively with District and school personnel, the general public, and work with diverse groups of people
Excellent organizational and customer service skills
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Working Conditions
- Will require travel between schools and across the district
- Routine physical activity associated with normal office environment
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. regularly
