The Registered Nurse – Critical Care is a key member of the NCH Healthcare System team, responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced critical care environment. This role requires a strong foundation in nursing principles, critical thinking, and effective communication skills.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and monitoring vital signs.
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify potential risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based practices.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in critical care nursing and incorporate new knowledge into practice.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the State of Florida.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in critical care, with a strong preference for candidates with fellowship training or completion of a critical care program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification required from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records.
- BSN degree or higher.
- Experience working in a critical care environment, including post-open heart recovery critical care.
